On-chain statistics from IntoTheBlock indicate a significant decrease in the number of daily active users on The Open Network (TON) blockchain.
A report from the on-chain statistics service on X shows that the number of daily active users on the TON network has sharply declined in recent weeks.
During this period, Toncoin has struggled to attract users.
At the beginning of September, the number of daily active users on TON spiked due to growth in the crypto gaming industry, according to DappRadar analysis.
Catizen and Yescoin were two decentralized applications that contributed to this growth.
However, by October 21, the number of daily active addresses had dropped to 1.58 million, after surpassing 5 million on September 27.
Both the number of new addresses and addresses with no balance have also decreased significantly, from 2.58 million and 346,000 down to under 650,000 and 68,000, respectively.
According to analysts at IntoTheBlock, this deep decline in user numbers is somewhat related to Telegram’s issues, such as the detention of Pavel Durov.
Some events like the Dogs airdrop and the integration of Alchemy Pay may help boost the number of active users on TON.
